As of right now NYAD is flat but NYSE is down 0.62%. Plus, Although the index was down more than 1% today, down volume/up volume never got near 9. Forgot to mention VIX. Market is down and VIX is down too, considerably i should say. And if the day ends up like this, it will trigger the BB buy setup...

Just curious to know if there is any stat that can tell us when SPX closes more than 1% above its upper BB, which appears to be the case as of now..

Which source are you looking at? It appears that it will close out of BB but not the whole body is out of BB.

by the way if you're trapped bears, no need to cut now, I don't think such a movement can be sustained the next week. I might be able to use overbought as title which almost guarantee a pullback. The last time SPX was this much away from its 13 day EMA was July 2009, this is really an incredible mo...

I see a slow day today (range bound) as long as the data does not surprise too much.
