seems to me that unless ibm and goog barf (on 19th) we are headed higher ..... leading to AAPL (24th)... looks like only down day i can see in 20th (Friday) and 23rd (monday). then again from 30, 31, 1, 2 and 3rd we are going to see more +ve. its all the IRA and 401k contributors...

i did.. they are closing above 129 on SPY to screw 129 call holders... with a big gap down on tuesday.

cobra, fwiw, i think we cannot just rely on the actual volume information. reason i say that is "call" can be used as a bearish as well. for example at this moment i can sell 100 SPY calls of Jan 21 at strike $130 and buy $132 for net credit of 0.31c. it will show up in volume as 100+100= ...
