As painful as it was, I spent all of last week adding TVIX (long VIX) positions through the rise of the market. This was done in the anticipation of the 10/80 weekly SMA crossover. We now have a confirmed cross over on the ES. I am fully deployed long TVIX as of last Friday. Now that we have the cro...
ZH has an interesting point- the joint central bank move today is to actually prepare for a Greek default. If Greece defaults, a liquidity issue will ensue as demand for USDs will skyrocket (what happened the last time). Having learned that from the Lehman episode, they are trying to be one step ahe...
Zooming out to the weekly, we are at a major cross road... we're right up at the cross-over zone between the 10/80 SMA now. If this rally were to fail, this would be where it would happen.. somewhere in between 1200 and 1220. Let's see if the bull can pierce both the 10 and 80 weekly SMA right where...
Not a good sign for the bulls... the bounce after rejection at 1200 for the double top was weak... bull need to gather momentum to make another run to break the double top at 1200, not make weak bounces followed by further selling... this could be a bull trap in the making... all those who recently ...
Hmm.... double top still in play... long tails at 1200 each time it touched it... seems to be like touching a hot pan and running away from it, only to come back to see if it's still hot... and so far, it's still hot. Quite overbought on many levels, time for some sort of a pull back. Let's see if t...
by KENA » Wed Sep 14, 2011 1:01 pm I will say that this last push came very close to the point where I would have covered my shorts. That's the idea  BTW- in the same boat. But I will need a convincing breakthrough to confirm that it isn't a fakeout. Willing to forgo some of my profits fro...
Watch out here... this is where retail traders tend to get screwed... be careful before taking action here... wait for confirmation before doing anything.
Decision time... let's see what surprise she has for us... DAX looking positive, so we may break upwards here... if so, will be forced to close long TVIX positions.
If not, we are going down to test Aug lows once more.
Approaching a very important point here... failed at the first attempt. Bulls need to break through this resistance to set a new trend upwards. Let's see if they can do it. Still holding long TVIX positions from yesterday- if we blow through this resistance on volume, will be forced to close my posi...
LULZ.. zero hedge saying the same thing I was alluding to... http://www.zerohedge.com/news/rumor-fatigue-bric-buying-half-life-under-one-minute While I am long TVIX which is essentially short the market, this is getting dangerous here... I don't want a full blown systemic meltdown, but I am starting...
"BRICS COUNTRIES IN "VERY PRELIMINARY" TALKS TO COORDINATE PURCHASES OF EURO ZONE SOVEREIGN DEBT - BRAZIL GOV'T SOURCE" Hmmm... looks like the same type or "rumor" that spiked the market yesterday at around the same time. But unlike yesterday, the spike has not happened...
