Cobra's Market View

Thinking about the 2024 low. Many years the center of the BB gets touched ie around 4500

I shorted when I learned my colleague was let go. People are being let go quietly.
Also the FTSE was down almost 2% because inflation is not dropping.

Some bear targets, in the event of a correction in Jan 24:

VIX just needs to print 17 and then we will back to a normal trading range. Probably have to drop about a further 70 points to get that, down to 4650.
Then we can start 2024 with a rally.. maybe..

Covert under the radar layoffs happening many places. Me included..

Was just clearing my desktop, having been let go work wise, and I found this chart.

I dont see a bottom until the government shutdown is averted.

Might pick up some UPRO when VIX prints 18.8 on monday. also might not..

A friend of mine retired 3 years ago and being financially conservative and cautious put most of his money into bonds and almost none in the stock market. My bet is the VIX bounces off the blue line on up for the next three weeks like last year. The VIX should print 21 eventually.
A different opinion maybe but hey that's why it's a market! Bulls and bears make money.

Flat. Will prob buy SPXU when VIX hits 17.1. happy to sit on the sidelines in the meantime. Not trading very often recently.
