Any ideas on why the vix is up 8% today?

I haven't looked at the schedule but I think there are large POMO injections on Friday (tomorrow) and the coming Monday.

The last 15-20 minutes was a little of a surprise. I guess traders clearing some positions to leave for Thanksgiving.

Thanks BullBear52x and Fehro. I thought I was going crazy by seeing some strength in the VIX.

Is my imagination running away or does the Vix look like a small inverse head and shoulders?

Don't have time to post a chart but it seems like Nasdaq futures was the leader. /NQ 5 min looked like a small descending triangle.

What is the mechanism behind these p-bars? Algos probing the markets?

I've never seen a p-bar on the VIX at least that I can remember, especially when it was such a large p-bar.

I think I see a VIX p-bar up to 21.26.

Vix has come back from a low today of 12.34 to being positive at 13.50. Is this hedging or a sign of small pullback to come next week?
