One chart yesterday's close; one chart just now. This market is.......speechless. But charts still talk!

Been waiting for global ES to reach that Purple target line of the Broadening Top (2nd chart taken 9PM some PST); it reached and puked minutes before the number released (1st chart). Check the time stamp on charts. Good weekend!

Hi, five guests out there. I just wanted to share my updates posted in Traders Talk just now, and in my blog too, maybe some of you will check back in here before Fri open and find this useful.

At what point does a flag fail to become a flag, but a channel with the new trend? Is there any general rules of thumb for this? E.g. no break within 20 bars, etc. (I'm just pulling from the air). I'm asking this because theoretically the "bear flag" could go all the way to S&P 1300.....

On 5-min SPY: Up tilt flags mean bearish; down tilt flags have less choice but bullish; if we keep our reading consistent (don't mean market is). :lol: At what point does a flag fail to become a flag, but a channel with the new trend? I tend to agree; but if finanacials lead the rebound, they will close above their Friday close first.
