NYADV still points up, shorter PPO is choppy, not as strong as prior recoveries.

MACD looks better, unless NYADV heads south for a few days...

Financials may give a clue by early next week, after some earnings reactions

What story do advamcers tell (as % of nytot)?

Some similarities to prior short-term peaks:
-Small caps and Financials stop leading the charge
-Adv gets strong at beginning of rally, weakens, then retests ma crossovers and sets more bearish divergence
-slope of New Highs is negative

So, is Decliners telling same story as Advancers?
Here is inverse o dec/tot volume, and the answer escapes me......

8-21 prior to Fed Minutes:

Looks to have few up days coming based on bullish divergence, 2hour shows bears dropped the ball, advancers as % total no longer looks negative. decliners will be bullish if no big downmove wednesday.

On daily, the top panel is correlation of unchanged issues vs decliners, typically negative...when it crosses up, (heads toward less negative correlation-see green verticals, usually a few days in upside to prices...

8-21 morning: 39dma of Advancers (bottom panel) and 19dma of decliners says the downmove may be finished and look at buying dips
