The first goes to the question: Which do I buy, gold or silver? The answer comes from the ratio, which goes through regular cycles. Above the middle line is your "buy silver" zone and below is your "buy gold" zone. We are currently in an environment that will favor silver over gold when the TIME is right to buy gold.

The second question is: WHEN do I buy precious metals? The answer comes from the correlation between gold and silver. When it drops to the lower line, you buy precious metals or look for entries. We're not there yet, although I am starting to see the weekly corr drop a little bit now.

GLD is still on the buy mode, caution at the moment but no sell, a trade >116(edited 116 not 110) will be screaming buy to challenge top fan wedge or break out all together, weak now but not a sell. IMHO

ballentines: I did find "rules" on WHEN blocks have to report (there are plenty of exceptions, and I'm sure HTFs exploit any/all loopholes) FWIW:
“NYSE Rule 131 specifies that trades must be reported within an hour after the close of business on the day the trade was made."
“Under FINRA Rule 6380B, trades executed during normal market hours (i.e., between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. ET) must be reported to the Consolidated Tape (the “tape”) within 30 seconds of execution (unless the transaction involves restricted equity securities…). Trades executed outside normal market hours and during the hours the relevant reporting facility is open must still be reported within 30 seconds of execution." http://media.mofo.com/files/Uploads/Ima ... ements.pdf

ballatines wrote:how to interpret the block trade/p-bar price always get hit intra-day? or just random?
I consider all block trades ending in 000 as a real trade and all odd lot trades as algoes signals. Interpretation of odd block trades has many dimensions and hard to explain as these don't always follow what I think they mean (My decoding is just a best guess of mine). However, taking a trade using price as a target (that is otherwise supported by other means) usually works out. I just took a position in XIV @ SPY 199.58. You can watch this trade to get some ideas (and their possible usage).
