Agree it doesn't work that well for daily timeframes but smaller timeframes are ok. It is extremely important to chart every instrument someone trades to get volume at least, so I know there is resistance on FAZ at 41.77, easier to remember than tracking another index.

Disagree. The market was very quiet before Feb 18th and then it tanked 100 S&P pts. All the phrase "don't short a boring market" means is that volatility is currently low and the trend is up, which is all true right now, and yes, until it changes, shorts won't make money, but to say a quiet market should never be shorted is kind of a meaningless statement. It's kind of like saying, the market has been up recently...it doesn't predict anything about future prices.

This is really alarming, I suppose that it is inevitable. Upon reading your post, I searched for more news on the web and it seems that most of it refers back to this same source. I live far away now, back on the east coast. However in the late '90s I lived in San Francisco and worked on the floor of the Pacific Options Exchange. I am deeply concerned for anyone who could be affected by this.

My comments are for entertainment/educational purpose only. NOT a trade advice.
breakdown finally on the 4th touch. The market simply refuses to drop, not bearish.

I don't think the radiation is at dangerous levels, according to what is understood now. My concern as a resident here is that the scientists think they know what is or isn't harmful, then they turn out to be wrong.

I heard people say: If no QE3, it means the economy is good now so stock market will keep rising until Galaxy far far away.

And if there's QE3, then too much free money, so stock market will sure rise. In either cases, stock market will rise, and we are destined to retire earlier. All of us.

support is clear on this chart. Not much to say, a small red only good for bulls. Bears must show strength to convince me on their side.

Very poor volume in FAZ, yet it goes up. Bearish for the markets. high volume in FAZ is good news for the market (short ETFs work opposite in that high volume means market capitulation)
