I was glad that I was short at the close on Friday. I was sweating bullets after that big squeeze near the close and after-hours Friday. I closed my ES short too soon today but still made a nice profit.
Futures down huge but not damage enough, plus futures rarely has unfilled gap, so still hard to say bear.

Too early to say. This bull still looks like having legs.

I often fear and hate real world fundamentals. They just blow up all technical work. This October 17th deadline makes me want to just sell everything and wait it out. The futures are down strong, so maybe I'm not the only one thinking like this?
bearish as of SPY 406 on 2/17/23
currently: end bearish as of SPY 406 on 3/6/23

ES is doing well considering that we are only down 12 points only 3 days away from default. There have been much larger down market reactions to default deadlines. This would have been one of the most positive days of trading of the year based upon my stats (without the default). I guess the big bullet would be a S&P ratings down grade the US credit rating, but probably not; see http://www.fxstreet.com/analysis/indice ... /10/14/03/ (ignor pop up).
