Got trapped with an index short held over weekend yesterday but now its looking better. Lets see.

Intraday Bullish Percentages are weakening and confirming the sluggish market: BPNYA +0.18%, BPCOMPQ +0.08% - but BPOEX, BPNDX, BPSPX, BPINDU and BPFINA are flat.

wow, this rebound shall have legs.

My summation signal is up.
My composite trend signal is up.

The close is the most salient trade of the day. The Friday close is the most salient trade of the week.
Last Friday's close was weak. Yesterday's close was weak.
Yesterday's close was below Uempel's very serious ellipse resistance.
A well established neckline was broken to the upside yesterday.
The breakout was not confirmed by recent corresponding relationships in the currency markets.
Rather than draw in buyers, it attracted sellers... the initial potent short squeeze notwithstanding.
The equity market, by my tools, has been in an overbought state.

Beats me if this is a high or if the market just needs a breather, but the action of the last two days revealed some weakness or exhaustion IMO.
If we can get some mild softness/consolidation, it would clear overbought conditions and open up long setups for me.
If things unravel, it would probably take until next week before my models would turn for shorts.
Yellin speaks again tomorrow. So, if she says no bubble plus QE forever if needed...again, maybe that is all the bulls need to inspire them.

I'll be watching action in the currency markets after Yellin speaks closely. The recent moves in yuan are interesting.
I think it is probably time for various central bankers to send messages, respond to, establish dynamics and games with and in the context of our new Fed chair... with implications across markets.

I have a p-bar to 185.5 level, perhaps it makes it to that level or higher before down..already hit the first p-bar...
