07/26/2014 Weekend Update

Post by Cobra »

The institutional buying and selling chart (courtesy of stocktiming) shows more accumulation than distribution but noticed that accumulation keeps decreasing along with distribution which decreasing not as fast as accumulation, it's a minor warning.

Smart money shorted a little bit, nothing bad yet, so still more up?

I see nothing on AAII. More bulls but I'd like to see extremely extreme, for now it's far from extreme.

Last upswing completed on Thursday
It was less than the prior upswing 40<55.25
The last downswing was 32.5 (about normal) and we are part way into the current downswing.
If 32.5 then target is 1953.25

Here the weekly data.
The prior week (ended 18 Jul) was a green bar doji week open=close. (Green bar =higher high and higher low)
Very rare.
This week was small green body green bar. However open to open was lower and close to close slightly lower.

The closing percentage has dropped to 45%.
(You need to go back to 14 may week to get a lower one 41%)

I think we may get to the magic 1998 soon -- perhaps this week. As 1985.75 has been obtained on Thursday. So low first on Monday, Tuesday and then high second on Wednesday, Thursday?

Yep. ES pattern has been a bit different than cash.
Jackals have been running stops in both directions producing a megaphone.
While index has made new highs, directional movement has actually had a bearish bias since early July.

Thanks BachNut.

I am looking at establishing a pattern for my day trading
perhaps a cadence, 3,1, 4,2, or something else where I can estimate if they will run a stop tomorrow and if it will be high or low.
Any furrther thoughts?
