09/13/2014 Weekend Update

[Cobra]

The institutional buying and selling chart (courtesy of stocktiming) shows more distribution than accumulation. The chart only tells what's happening it does not tell what's going to happen. However the distribution, even though rising, but still very close to the record low (treat it as oversold), so I read the chart as a little little little little bit bear biased.

Smart money covered a little. Generally I'd like to see a huge short then some chances a top of some kind is near. The short this week is far from huge, so says nothing it.

Bulls are on defensive now.
Weekly candles confirmed bearish doji on SPY.

The daily indicators are under center line with bearish MACD histogram confirmed trend change is on its way, well, it is what it is,so I will be looking down to lower BB area rather looking up to mid BB for resistance.

Short term, a trade under 5/20 DMA is not so healthy either.

For Counter trend bulls, there is a positive divergence on hourly RSI.

in the past any dips will be bought. A look at RSI(s) for dips there is still some room to go yet.

overall = sell in all time frames.

I'm pretty amazed at how resilient gold bugs are. Gold has been falling for a month and everywhere I look, they've been calling bottoms all the way down. They'll be right eventually, but ouch.
