I read a report by Rolf Bertschi in the early morning, a good TA guy from Credit Suisse. He puts lots of importance into the fact that SPX 2035 did not break earlier in the week. Bertschi suggests that this could (I repeat: it could...) propel SPX up to 2110/2130

I was quite surprised. My thinking had ruled out a rebound in the next few weeks. Why? Earnings reports are just around the corner and most predictions are lousy. If bad results are confirmed in April it would be the second quarter with negative company results.

In the past 25 years two quarters with negative company results always spelled further deterioration in the economy resp in the stockmarket (according to Financial Times).
