I personally find tick to be a coincidental indicator. When it gets stronger other indicators I look at are also getting stronger; when it weakens, likewise.

So for me it's redundant, and I only look at the raw, in the moment readings, and then only if it's showing something dramatic, like a very sharp reversal, or the most extreme reading of the day, or somesuch. But I know some people take derivatives of it and make very clever indicators therefrom-- like Dr. Brett S. (Traderfeed), who has blogged on it often.

I also track it closely when the market is at a clear inflection point. At such times tick occasionally gives a quick lead as to which direction the price will soon take. In conjunction with a VIX drop or spurt, that tends to be quite reliable.

Yes, I would love to see some charts from Daniel. Appreciate the insight, but for me, visuals work better. They tell tell the story.

That's OK, I rather see your take or interpretation, I know they are useful but I can not take a full advantage of them to trade (intraday or swing) so I stop using them on my main platform, still look at them from time to time but no trade decision based on them. Thnx.

BB52, the thought of someone making a buy or sell decision based on anything I post makes me want to faint. NOT a good idea.

The only value I feel I can add to a board like this is to post readings or indicator signals which may prove to be "tiebreakers" in the moment, at times when other more concrete indicators are giving fuzzy signals.

No, the only concrete and reliable indicator on this board is that whenever Mr. Miyagi finally cries out in sincere agony, and capitulates, then the market quickly reverses. If he fakes it, then the indicator goes fallow, and there is no correlation.
