Been seeing a bunch of stuff on the web concerning the high NYMO, so I thought I would put in my two cents.

NYMO is in an up cycle and it has reached a potential turn zone.
Price could turn for a swing down at any time.
However, as long as NYMO stays positive, a price turn can also be deferred. (Last October's rally for example.)
So, a turn may be imminent... or not.
If price does continue to climb, though, a negative NYMO divergence should manifest.

What can be particularly useful is that the high price on the day of the NYMO cycle high becomes a benchmark.
No matter how much higher price goes, it is highly probable that it will be at or below the benchmark when NYMO reaches the low of the next down cycle.

Simply put, short setups have an edge above the benchmark price.
So, I'll be stalking short in the days ahead due to NYMO, but I'll use price based signals to put me in the trade.

More like a Fed yack fest. Two speeches before minutes and then two more afterwards. Clearly they don't want the media mis-interpreting the "minutes".

If you are unaware, the actual Fed meeting minutes are embargoed for 25 or 50 years or something like that. What they release is a carefully written document. Anyway the official understanding is the Fed is waiting for the ECB and BOJ to do more printing and they will turn on the presses sometime next year when it gets really dire.

Personally I don't buy it. Too many inconvenient facts on how printing worked. I am betting they go with the new norm of negative interest rates like the Scandinavian Central Banks have done. With 0 on three month treasuries we are already on the way. Wish I still had my old floating rate mortgage that had no rate caps in either direction.

Indeed a shakefest. We did rally 120 ES points from 1861 last week though.
Need a little bit of consolidation this week.
