Oil market ignoring rig count (+3). Twitter chatter saying logistics (Colonial pipeline closure plus hurricane) will probably cause some east coast gas stations to run out of gas next week. I have no idea if that will trigger a rally, but you can't rule it out. At least it would be a great segway into the OPEC conference.

Excellent article, another fine piece of analytical work from Mr. Lyons. Thx for sharing it w us. Similar work was published recently by another longtime favorite, Stock Traders Almanac-- but it wasn't as nuanced.

INDEXes days... that VIX looks more like a bull flag.. than SPX bear flag.. fwiw.
