This doesn't look good for bulls (unless it's a trap and SPX doesn't stay down into the close). A break of MA 55 into the close is significant. I'll post a different chart later on.

Significance of MA 55 and EMA 55 on SPX daily:

NY declining stocks = 1.0 x advancing stocks
NY declining volume = 1.5 x advancing volume
Bears had a good edge just a few short minutes ago, and they gave it away to Mr. Chop

This UAL chart doesn't need a comment - and we all know that it's well deserved:

SPY mercilessly pounded by the declining 20ema all morning long. No economic data today to give a lending hand.

A further look at UAL (120 min). I doubt the stock can hold today's low these next few days/weeks. Immense loss of reputation won't be easy to fix.

1.FOMC Chair said nothing at the livestreamed event ( I really did fall asleep) to reverse Dudley and Bullard comments.
2. We are in the eye of the storm for earnings period buyback blackouts (about five weeks prior to reporting and 2 days after)
3. Assuming some of the equal risk (levered to the hilt) funds could be doing a little lightening up. If true this will generate a negative feedback loop.
4. The equal risk funds generate a negative feedback loop around twice a year which seems to be stopped by an FOMC speech, cough Bullard cough, and we are overdue.

We have hit the bottom of the Average Daily Range using a 20 day average for both RTH and Globex, so if we go any further it will be a really big deal, Also DANGER Will Robinson DANGER Will Robinson approaching ES 2333.5
