Thanks to guys on twitter. FANG stocks reporting earnings July 25-27 (I ignored Softy and NETFLIX) so here we are the 30 day earnings lock up. No longer using company money to buy back shares so when they have a bad day like today they can't call Goldman and have them step in. Life can be 'ugly' when you loose control of the market.

Small caps back at yesterday's lows, looking like they really want to make an ugly close. Bulls have 15 minutes to turn this around or else could close on the day's low. Why don't they just get a big banner and tow it behind an airplane over the beaches "time for summer swoon".

Last night VIX futures were still in contango (by 6.45%)
They’ve been in contango since 4/24/17
We’ll see what it is today, as UVXY is on the move
I just wait until after the close and Eli Mintz calculates it for me:

And here comes that truly ugly close. Right on time to set up Stock Trader's Almanac strong days at end of the month. Anyway big ugly like today should have PBoC staying out of the rescue business and allowing this selling to move on through the night for a very tempting gap down open tomorrow. Just saying that can of really smelly bear bait could be over a pit trap with month end buying coming at us.
