Courtesy of Briefing.com:

Investors have been digesting a slew of earnings this morning from notable companies like Microsoft (MSFT 74.07, -0.15), General Electric (GE 25.77, -0.92), and Visa (V 98.77, +0.66), among others. All three Dow components reported better than expected earnings and revenues, but Visa is the only one trading in the green.

Elsewhere on the earnings front, eBay (EBAY 35.83, -1.35) has dropped 3.6% despite delivering a relatively in-line earnings report. Skyworks Solutions (SWKS 105.38, -2.26) is down 2.1% despite upbeat earnings/revenues and above-consensus guidance.

Crude oil is under pressure this morning, down 0.8% at $46.51/bbl, following news that OPEC oil output is on track to rise by 145,000 barrels per day for the month of July.

U.S. Treasuries have extended yesterday's rally in early action, leaving the benchmark 10-yr yield two basis points lower at 2.24%. For the week, the 10-yr yield has lost nine basis points. Meanwhile, the U.S. Dollar Index (93.97, -0.11) hovers at a 13-month low.

NY declining stocks = 1.5 x advancing stocks
NY declining volume = 2.5 x advancing volume. (Strong NY bear selling volume in a handful of issues)

Nasdaq declining stocks = 1.2 x advancing stocks
Nasdaq declining volume = 1.4 x advancing volume

GS is testing/breaking the 200sma again.
But check that volume AT THE CLOSE.
If that prints three days of reduced selling volume (on lower lows), it will be a volume signal that a bounce is near.

The semiconductors diverge. Are they suggesting that the QQQ pullback a bit?
Bulls hope the semis can “catch up,” as things are just better when the semiconductors can confirm.
