AD is pretty much 1-to-1 flat, chop, no bias, anything goes

NY advancing stocks = 0.8 x declining stocks
NY advancing volume = 0.75 x declining volume
Nasdaq advancing stocks = 0.89 x declining stocks
Nasdaq advancing volume = 0.92 x declining volume

NY declining stocks = 1.2 x advancing stocks
NY declining volume = 1.3 x advancing volume
Nasdaq declining stocks = 1.1 x advancing stocks
Nasdaq declining volume = 1.0 x advancing volume

sell your AAPLs buy the BBRY… AAPL is so yesterday  … embrace the new "Fruit" BBRY

To put that into perspective, BlackBerry stock has done better than Apple and the FANG of four that rule tech -- Facebook, (FB, Tech30) Amazon, (AMZN, Tech30)Netflix (NFLX, Tech30) and Google (GOOG) -- so far in 2017

QQQ right AT its 15min 200ema (144.25ish per FSC). Has been spindling around it, the past day and a half.

This morning the LOD for QQQ was exactly at the 15min 50MA-- I don't think that was coincidence. (Price action generally is becoming more range-bound, these past sessions, and bot-trading is keying off technical levels.)

Another reminder: Sept EOQ day tends to be very bearish for some reason or reasons.

Gold miners
3x
Favorites were NUGT/DUST
Raise your hand if you now trade JNUG/JDST instead
And why?
(serious question, thanks)

Despite Al D's palpable disdain for the 6-fanged beast (many now track the handful of six tech giants, with the acronym FAANNG), his earlier post about the divergence btw large Nas (N-100) and overall Composite Index (CompQ) has me technically tracking QQQ today.

(Nvdia is the second N, showing up widely)

The strong performance of RUT clearly skews the Nasdaq perf into the pattern he has demonstrated. The question is, what will the giants do? Equalize that, by returning to market leadership? Or worsen the disparity? This could be answered in the next hours, so it is of daytrade interest...

IWM has spent most of its rocket fuel, Banks are going sideways--I don't see any other catalyst. So now come the gyrations of window dressing and of managers posturing for the quarterly snapshot.

update: QQQ still hovering around where it opened, and around its daily VWAP, and just below that 15min 200ema. No resolution yet.

Sometimes XLK, an ETF more reflective of pure Tech, will serve as a harbinger of QQQ resolutions--and it has been holding well above its 15min 200ema since yesterday.

Ok I see
They’re using JNUG for long trades, because cheaper than NUGT
And using DUST for shorts, because cheaper than JDST
:?:

I'm afraid I trade NUGT/DUST also. Interested if anyone has a good answer to your question.
