So far, (per Scottrade), SMH (104.00) is basically unchanged since the Open--although up 1% for the day. Broadcomm/Qualcomm is in the news, so the sector is "high profile" today.

XLY hitting hod as XLP (-1%!) hits a fresh lod.
The widely-watched daily XLY:XLP ratio will gyrate significantly when tabulated after market close.

SMH hod!
Most of the gains in the major indexes came from the energy and semiconductor sectors.
Some sectors were flat from the open, others downright weak. Classic post-impulse phase, rotational market, as new 52 week highs are ground out by profit-taking and re-planting.
