Easy money if following buy the (obvious) rumor, sell the news, but one cannot be everywhere (is a lame excuse for low attention span)
I am sure though there is an algo that can search for these events before they happen.

It was pretty obvious Piñera would win the Chile election after the doctora Bachelet with her left leaning free handout politics did a great job in the last 4 years to stall the countries relatively strong economy.

ECH long Friday, cash out Mon morning (sell the news)...so easy, if you saw it.. I didn't

Then of course I also missed LFIN...

and got out of RIOT way too early - that leaving money on the table feeling is just as bad as getting stopped out and then see price turn

Do you know if Stockcharts.com has a symbol for the S&P 500 dividend yield?

Oh no, ES setting up for a lower high. If we can't go up then closing part of the gap should be on the agenda.

Who knew?

news and event driven markets. Who could have expected hurricanes and wildfires to the extent they have occurred? But Pasta Boss, the next question becomes when does the disaster effect turn off and they fall back to earth?

Here's the top weighteds in NAIL
(plus it has an expense ratio of 1.19% :o :o :o and i surmise that's why there's no volume)

Bottom panel is YTD % with NAIL in cyan
I would have thought that HD and LOW (supplies for rebuilding your ruined home) would have been better
It’s not fair to compare 3x builders to 1x suppliers, but I ran out of room here

Can't think of anything positive for homebuilders next year. Can think of positive for HD and Lowes aas more people are stuck in their old house for longer.

Almost got a confirmed sell signal but price couldn't escape the noise band around VWAP/Median.

ES 03-18 (2 BetterRenko(17)) 2017_12_18B.png
Waiting for ES 2693 to fail as there was nothing much below that at the open, then a great big gap down to Friday's range. Or maybe this is what we have seen several times, a day or two of flatlining building energy then a big burst up on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday if the tax bill gets passed.
