Both were about 2.5x at the open; they gave it all back

NY declining stocks = 1.7 x advancing stocks
NY declining volume = 1.0 x advancing volume
Plenty of stock declining on flat (1-to-1) volume

Thank-you Zerohedge. House of Morgan AND Goldman both out today saying written rebalancing rules for pension funds will mean massive equity selling and bond buying at month end.
My opinion is the timing of their insite couldn't be better.

Update on my closing “BAROMETER”
Derived from the “Bloomberg Smart Money Index”

So far, so good (cyan boxes are fails), until last night when the green volume hit my number, but the “smart money” wasn’t convincing enough, so I gave it a purple circle (for not very convinging, I don’t know, not sure). Strange today big up then big down… more later
