Fun stat from B of A this morning on Zerohedge. For 2018 42% of total buybacks have been the banks. Someone posted here recently that bank stocks hadn't dropped much.

40 day relative volume is down to 60% range.
This morning is making a mockery of the computer drawn regression channel. But the trip up from the bottom had a couple of spikes through also, just to the downside instead.

Scribblers are expecting Fed to confirm rumor of 4 hikes. Unexpected bet is that they temporarily raise inflation target to 2.5 to make up for the last couple of years. That would be the dovish unexpected. Also code for welcome to Zimbabwe Stock Market which was best performing in the world for several years.

Day traders from across the pond sitting on a nice gain, ES up 11 points from the overnight high. End of the day over there, I am guessing they start closing out early rather than seeing the gains slip away.

Zerohedge says they are piling into the VIX short trade once again. I have added the now famous Florida vix trader to my twitter feed. Nothing from him today.
