the open. I think it'll rebound a little at least as this kind of gap is way too stretched. Let's see.

Brilliant. Thanks for sharing your insight.

Its going to be a great day for all the people short as the action from the last couple of days everyone has been discussing here has been pretty obvious to go short at 1230!
Currently still holding the following puts:
NFLX Oct 240 Puts
CMG Oct 310 Puts
ANF Oct 60 put
GOOG OCT 545 Put

Cobra, What does your VXX show right now? and what does it suggest? I see volatility steadily declining suggesting a rising market. If I had to guess, the s&p would rise to around 1194.
Any thoughts on that?
Lots of support from 1180 to 1170.The mkt may not be able to break thru all of this at this time. The mkt may try to go up to the 1190/1195 level.May be a good buy short level again.Wait and see.Anyway time for breakfast.

Kena- didnt you mention the Bullish percent from dorsey wright turned positive which typically means several weeks of upside. If this is the case shouldnt this put us in buy the dip mode over the next sevral weeks? Newbie trying to learn. Thanks in advance.

I am not sure if you are right, on the CNBC site it was about 248 mil shares?!
Thank you, I stand corrected.
Try again.
Looking at breadth on this drop. Declining issues went above 2600 already (now 2588; changes every minute). This is quite deep; there are only 2900 issues (changes ditto) traded today on NYSE. In the last 30 days decliners>2600 only happened 4 times: 4 aug, 5 aug, 8 aug and 18 aug. Three of the four times were bear into the close.

Cobra rules. I've been following the blog for over a year. A must read for me.
I wanted to say I do kinda miss the old way where Bullish and Bearish signals built up in a table. That was what really turned me on to technical analysis.
