maybe it's time now to get some chips off the table and look at GOLD, which seems to have become rather oversold today...

not a perfect EMA gap long but let's see if the current bar can be higher than the previous bar to confirm the rebound.

it's not correct to say that volume never matters

it's just be better to say it hasn't mattered in the very recent past, longer term, it most certainly does

when there is a large enough supply and demand imbalance you'll see what it means when it matters

the market is never going to evolve in such a way where it can constantly go up on diminishing volume, logically, and mathematically, this cannot work

Cobra, I've seen you refer to EMA gap long/short and I am not familiar with the pattern and how to trade it. I didn't see it in "getting start"...any reference I can look at on that? Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't go long GOLD until that double top is taken out, looks like a horrible chart to go long. IMHO

well, guess that's it for today. a strong up like today, a higher high in the following several days is almost guaranteed, so looks like the market is going on the 3 push cases. Thank you guys, I'll see you tomorrow.

re: Gold

so gold goes up if there is bad news? What the heck happened to it in 2008.....it was different I guess. Recent history may show gold goes up on bad news, long term not quite....

gold looks like it's just starting a triangle to me, makes sense as something needed to work off all the euphoria

By the way, a solid MAD so far, and a MAD is rarely reverse course intraday.
How/from where do You get those fancy indicators?
