What can one possibly say about this market, other than that it has been led by the QQQ for many months-- so where that index is, and has been, is of constant importance. Currently QQQ is up 1% from a ghastly close yesterday, showing some buying interest; trading above a (downslope) 10day MA and testing a still upslope 20day. And price is about where it was in late July.

ROC-12 is indicating a sideways market for the Qs. And ADX-13 is indicating a market lacking much trendiness, with readings in the bottom third of the past few months. Typical of a twitchy, jerky, meandering market.

Slow stochastics and Intermediate Williams Reversal both show a pullback that is either done or halfway to where it’s normally headed.

Poor Cobra. Good luck finding a short-intermediate Trend in all that, in order to color the intraday bias. Plus we are in a strong market in a weak seasonal period, which makes things even more whippy and erratic.

per StockCharts, QQQ hod was 183.25; the 20day MA is at 183.30; inflection point worth watching imo.

possible 3 push up so hopefully a pullback here which if indeed, then likely today is a range day, simply up and up from here then it's an uptrend day.

Broken record. We hit this four times a year and with over double last years buyback cash the pre-earnings blackout period should be even more dramatic. I do think the symbol for buybacks should be the snake swallowing its own tail, but clearly Tim Cook thinks I am wrong.

If you know any oil traders let them know that Clipper Data is saying 11 Iranian tankers have switched off their global locating devices (AIS transponders).

Tricks I learned this morning on ThinkorSwim charts:

To set a chart up with stocks combined, you'll just need to enter the symbols with a "+" between them:

FB+AMZN+NFLX+GOOGL

If you put this into a symbol box, it will chart the prices together as ONE price graph.
It works with all symbols that TOS tracks, so you can make your own custom ETF.

If you are looking for all 4 separate stocks to show together (but separate) on one chart, you would add "Comparison"
studies on to the chart (referencing each stock). You can also make these comparison studies: bars, candles or lines.

Order book showing increasing support at yesterday's (Globex) high ES 2911.50. Had major buying and selling in that zone going up this morning. Chart looks like a buy program was working from around 11 to 12 today. So personally I need to be smart money before going short. Need a bounce to retest today's high and a nice bear signal bar. Probably won't happen, guessing we just flat line in a chop to the close of quad witch Friday. After all this week is all about the New York banks getting paid for market making. Jamie needs a good bonus if he is running for President.
