Now we get to see how much of a buy program somebody paid for. Guessing there were stops to trigger above ES 2800 but that hasn't happened yet.

Those trend lines were set up using a regression channel. Interesting to me that they broke out in order to kiss 2800 instead of waiting a while longer.

musings playbook. market going to park it round here into weekend beetween 2800 to 2765 zone. still looking for next week flush out and st low breaking at least the lower weekly bolly now around 2709. With corporate buyback blackouts subsiding over next 2 weeks, gotta be thinking they want a decent price and bounce into election time...imho. have a great weekend.

Range is the best that can be hoped for, this could just close the morning's gap and be red easily. TELL THEM WHAT TO DO COBRA, I SOLD KIDNEYS!!!

Market needs support from Mid-Caps (MDY) and Small-Caps (IWM), so far, nada.

Also big-ass names like Boeing faltering, Industrials (XLI) taking it in the sac too.

After today's close, we enter the most bearish historical week of the calendar year. October 22nd through 27th has produced annualized returns of -41.24% on the S&P 500 since 1950. That's a full 50 basis points below the historical average annual return on the S&P 500 of 9% over that same 68 year period.

If you think you might find historical refuge in the NASDAQ or Russell 2000, think again. Here are the annualized returns for each of these indices over the same October 22nd through 27th period:
