Just to doggie pile on bad news tomorrow is a big day for the Fed's System Open Market Account, best known as SOMA. So since they started having SOMA run off days those who track it show it is a reverse POMO in market effect (duh do you think!)
Tomorrow 23 Billion dollars in maturing securities will be paid off by the Treasury and other agencies and the Fed will not re-invest a dime of it. Think of it as incinerating money. Of course because what the Fed owns is on record the serious traders figure this out well in advance, just like a POMO. Eventually, when we all start watching it the effect on the market will greatly diminish, just like with the POMOs.

Normal is an up tick in the dollar and a down move in stocks. Of course with Facebook reporting that could easily move the overnight markets, just like Netflix, Google, Microsoft and Amazon did. Anybody got a coin I can borrow?

We are Janet Yellen's predetermined caps on the SOMA run off as of October. No more than 30 billion a month in Treasuries and no more than 20 billion a month in Agencies (that would be mortgaged backed)

The experts are saying that the SOMA run off is effectively doubling the what the rate increases are doing to the economy.

so it's the initial rebound then the revisit then the real rebound is now. Too bad the real rebound started weak, so I didn't have the guts to call so, now probably too late.

so far it's a range day therefore in theory the pullback may go directly to the range low which is the day low.
