Second stage had a rough start. Waiting to see if the third stage gets to the options expiration goal of 2750.

China?
BABA (Alibaba)
YINN
Thanks
I always saw BABA as a kind of Chinese EBAY, rather than a hard-core supplier of semiconductors and iStuff.
And YINN is 3x leveraged all China. I’m guessing your point is that China’s health is directly tied to AAPL suppliers health?
Anyway, here they are added: dashed lines
Alibaba is a huge thing, something like Amazon, plus a lot more lines of business. Scale is also impressive. Singles Day for BABA is more money than all of Black Friday + Cyber Monday

YINN is not all of China, it does include a bunch of China bank stuff. Not many China tech in YINN though.
3x leverage it is, but can be an interesting thing to watch, as it is a channel for US market people to 'access' China plays

Not bad, about 20 points in around five minutes, who says volatility is dying out. :D

Coolbiz was looking for 2743 to 2760. I am thinking they will take a second shot as this is way to obvious for a double top on an opex Friday. Mustn't scare the 401K crowd.

Fundamentals. My two step measured move arrows are pretty darn close. It is OPEX and Nomuras McElligott said a couple of weeks ago the century and half century marks are where the big boys are doing their options hedging. So I say BINGO!

If you put an inverted $VIX (-$VIX) behind the price and put the $SPX in a panel below the $TICK chart,
then the $VIX confirms the move. :ugeek:

So tRump comes out and says 'hopeful China wants a Trade deal' and the Dow pops 200 pts. No substance, nothing to back it up, nada other than his lips/or tweet. I wonder if he got his scalp in place before mouthing. Glad I was not short.

From CNBC: "Stocks rose on Friday after President Donald Trump said he was hopeful the U.S. and China could strike a deal on trade.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded 200 points higher, while the S&P 500 gained 0.4 percent. The Nasdaq Composite erased most of its losses to trade down less than 0.1 percent.
Trump said China wants to make a deal on trade, adding the U.S. may not have to impose more sanctions on China. However, he added that any trade deal between the two countries must be reciprocal.

Investors have been grappling with worries about increasingly protectionist trade policies possibly slowing down the U.S.
Despite the boost from Trump's comments, the major indexes were on pace for big weekly losses. The Dow and Nasdaq are both down more than 2 percent this week, while the S&P 500 has fallen 1.5 percent."

Quoting Zero Hedge
"It appears Trump has discovered the OPEC jawbone strategy: repeat the exact same thing every day, betting idiot algos will buy."
So much for the AI machine learning algos.
Lessons from this are of course
1. Let the computer place a stop automatically when you enter a trade. You can always adjust the stop.
2. Good money to be made by knowing when the algo's turn off the market will mean revert.

Yes he does. Once the news has been digested the market resumes the auction from where it was interrupted. As in we are back to dancing with normal hours VWAP, which was where we were just before the Orange Swan unleashed his lighting bolt.
