They also say the buy point is of course, the high between the two lows. agree, "must close above the Nov 7-8 high for confirmation".

Precious Metals and miners strong. SLV esp strong-- up over 2%. Wonder why silver in particular...
USO is again up over 4%. But there has been an odd reversal in the PMs, with SLV now at its lod (tho still up) while other metals plays are near their highs. Not clear why silver was so strong, or why it has regressed. (Probably not meaningful to the more macro picture.)
AAPL is now up 3.3% intraday, despite this morning’s news:
“Apple plans to hold off until at least 2020 before offering a 5G iPhone”
Obviously I was the only one who saw this as not-bullish

Apple was not expected to sell a 5G iPhone next year. Same as when LTE initially rolled out, Apple waited until the tech matured, chipsets stabilised and radio/chip power consumption moderated.
Some Android phones will likely have 5G 'first'. Apple will have it when it is fully baked and ready for wide adoption.
Apple already sells the 'fastest' smartphones, based on CPU +iOS + GPU.
