Speaking of political decisions with tails we have the heavy crude issue once again. Recall Obama Admin blocked the pipeline that would have brought heavy Canadian Tar Sands crude to the gulf coast cheaply. Now Trump Admin talking about banning Venezuelan heavy high sulfur crude. Too bad for all the refineries on the gulf who made the large investments so they could process cheep heavy crude.

Big gasoline build this week, my guess is the refiners are tasking Admin seriously on Venezuela and betting on a disruption.
