Morning briefing Futures Trader 71 showed detailed overnight chart. The rise up was a series of flash spikes connected by a flat market. News service this morning said there was no identified catalyst for the overnight rise just a more positive feeling about US earnings. And of course that the PBoC has opened a new credit card and is handing out cash advances so that companies can make the payments on their existing maxed out credit cards, er I mean increased availability of credit in China.

QQQ showing good intraday RS versus SPY and DIA and IWM. QQQ is still in the top half of its daily range today. Might be vehicle of choice for buying a dip.

Rob Hanna recently examined the performance of April opex week. His study showed it’s one of the most bullish. Tuesday and Wednesday are seasonally strongest. His conclusion: “The numbers are impressive, and suggest a bullish edge. Traders may want to keep this in mind the first few days of this week.”
