If it walks like a duck-
Both algo driven news events were planned in advance and not spontanious like a car crash. Both had insiders that knew what was going to be said. Be that as it may both cases the algos got in and then at a pre-determined logic stopped.

If your momentum indicator INTRADAY did not flip to sell at least 20+ min before that news, then revise your momo setting.
(meaning momo was waning well before that crash-ette. Once the momo flips, then revise your price stop as needed. LL)
