VIX hourly looks a bit bearish. at least for another day or 3 me thinks.
It is still in that trend channel I posted this morning. If it fills the 29 or 30 box on the P&F chart that would mean we head lower.

With the potential news flow next week surrounding the deficit panel I am leaning towards a breakout on the upside.
with thanksgiving around the corner, as much of a bear as i am, i just put on a turkey day hedge. i think we may be heading higher in the week to come.

oh, and the large buy order right at the end of the day wasn't a bad indicator either.

It could be the longs to eat cat food on the first couple of days of next week? Who knows... Cobra will enlighten us in his week-end report!
Thanks Cobra for your hard work! :D

I would like to know what exactly "retirement checks" represent. Obviously a substantial portion of the numbers he quotes.

The piece about Congress' inability to balance the budget, particularly with the "Super Committee" report due next week on how they plan to reduce the current budget (expected to be an epic fail), demonstrates that our crisis is not only financial in nature but political as well. That 60 Minutes and Throw Them All Out highlight possible criminal conduct further adds fuel to the fire. That's why I consider our House to be comprised of crooks and clowns. Nothing personal, mind you; I spent the first two years out of college working on Capitol Hill. If I only knew then....

By the way, there are clowns in Europe too.

Aug 4, Obama's B day, those clowns were able to drop Dow by 500 points. Pink or white noise, the white noise that I am concerened with on Nov 23. This market goes up with spending not cut. If $USD goes up then equity comes down. Let's agree on our disagreement.

Peace.

Best quote I read all day " both parties have run this country into the ground'

I'm a poli sci professor and I gave up on both parties a while ago...

Of course, Professor Brian Ratcliffe, spokesman for the Nutrition Society, said dehydration was "usually caused by a clinical condition" because at heart he is a pharmacist.
