Apple- Would be interesting to see some sort of chart that shows how much they are paying per point in buybacks.

ES 12-19 (2000 Tick) _ ES 12-19 (2000 Tick) 2019_10_10 (10_41_35 AM).png

Assuming the last boost was some sort of algo news thing I wonder if market will erase the first trade tweet from earlier today as well.

I am using Think or Swim, which can also have suspect historical price data.

It is convenient to assume/expect that highs and lows (and open/close) which you see happen during the day, will indeed be preserved and presented when you look back much later to that day. I find that often enough the historical numbers on a longer timeframe chart are a little different than the price I noted during the actual day. :|

HEY THIS IS INTERESTING
When i look for the AAPL ATH using the "unadjusted" price (by putting an underscore in front of the symbol _AAPL)
i get the ATH as Wed 10-03-2018 at $233.47
so it looks like TOS uses prices NOT ADJUSTED for dividends, while stockcharts adjusts for dividends

CNBC just showed an "analysis" that all the recent ES moves have coincided with:
1) trade headlines
2) trump tweets
(not necessarily in that order)

ES five minute. Pullback beneath the pivot. Some decent moves. Back later.

Would you prefer your historical chart prices 'adjusted' or 'unadjusted'?

Is that a rhetorical question (because you added  emoji) ?
Ayway, I do prefer prices adjusted for dividends, because for example in AAPL there is roughly $3 per share dividend sent to shareholders, and that cash is no longer inside the company, it is in the hands of the shareholders.
So the “actual” price is $3 less, hence “adjusted”
(according to finviz and stockcharts: AAPL dividend is $0.77 cents per quarter x 4 quarters = $3.08)

Sounds like a fundamentals perspective.

Trading perspective, ATH price is ATH price.

No news headlines for 'stock above the dividend adjusted high'

Serious question: Since AAPL has been paying a dividend for years, why is StockCharts.com price for AAPL’s dividend only adjusted for 1-year?

They adjust all prices every single time there is a dividend.
[Go to any chart and select "events" in the "overlay" section, and use "all" as parameter, or you can type in "dividends" in the parameter field].
That's all. Done.

Volume (as of yesterday’s close)
AD (real time)
HiLow (as of yesterday’s close)
FOR ME ONLY: volume (top panel) is my “best” (most consistent) signal for short term. Currently it says we may see some more bouncing before it goes green…. depends on today’s reading at the close…
