Absolutely. Day trader's paradise, if volatility is a desirable thing for one's system. SPY just went from 273.60 to 281.60 in ten minutes. Try getting THAT kind of return from a 10yr treasury.
:)
Ha ha. You have a gambler's heart. I don't think one can rely on charts today. Ninja was all f***ed up this morning. StockCharts is dead in the water. I like to feel comfortable at the control panel. Ha ha TOS charts OK. IB charts OK but always limited.

If StockCharts could get running, I could do some Scan research that I have not quite finished.

Fieldydwb--and any other new posters to this Board--note how you can use the editing function to pick out just the exact portion you want to quote, and not the rest. This is good to do, it keeps posts from being unnecessarily long.
Just make sure to leave the quote brackets at beginning and end.
:)

Not much to say other than please wait for the dust to clear. Right now it's the usual rebound let EMA20 to catch up, then we'll see there.

Actually not. With volatility like this one can keep position size very small, and still knock out a nice scalp-return. Just be patient and wait for good setups, with target and stop in a favorable ratio. Trading today will be pure sentiment. And that's when technical analysis does best. ;)

Overnight/weekend gaps down on ES, NQ, YM and RTY. Back in business for the time being.

OK, we have an OR-60 for SPY-- 273.60 low and 282.60 high.
That is the current universe.

Basic FreeStockcharts.com has been streaming fine all morning. It's still a staple for me. Stockcharts is still frozen.

SPY is still holding about $2 above daily VWAP. These metrics are what gets woven into "price discovery".
What is the market willing to pay for the equity...

The NYMO cycle is down... obviously!
However, in spite of limit down halts and such, we have a positive NYMO divergence now that things are trading.
Let's see how things close, but if it holds, some kind of low may be in the cards in coming days.

We closed another down gap target this morning.
I have brought the remaining possible down gap targets that were stranded back onto the radar as they now seem plausible.
However, I have retired Pac-Man. His belly is full. He nailed a lot of targets and more remain, but the analogy doesn't seem amusing anymore...

There remains a stranded NYMO benchmark price at SPX 2595.32 (pea green line).
The model says stranded benchmarks get resolved eventually.
I don't think we get there without a rally first (remember I have no clue what will happen), but it is a level to keep a note of for down the road.

If the NYMO low is in, the February low will become a benchmark level for me (SPX 2855.84).
Quotes will be odds on to go above that in the next NYMO up cycle.
If NYMO closes below the February 28 low, this is kaput.

I am flat at the moment. It has only been day trades for me lately and no holding over the weekend.
I would grumble as quick trades are not my thing, but position trading in FX and commodities has been significantly more orderly.
If the positive NYMO divergence holds and the central banks react (seems probable), perhaps a long equity swing will set up for me.
We shall see.
