Not MAD yet, but very close now, if we close HOD today then definitely MAD. :o
do you have any stat for third day, after MAD?
You forgot so quickly ha. Normally, red day tomorrow if MAD follow MDD and the MDD day low will be revisited soon. The market owns us a revisit 12/19 lows still.
however, the harami pattern is bullish. so a red day tomorrow, followed by a bullish advance is the usual timeline.

but the volume for the last push seems not comply with rising wedge rule, doesn't it?

SPY 125.90, 125.97, 126.10
Of course I believe the market will finish very near the HOD...that seems to be the mode of operation.

consolidates above the breakout point, so I see it as a valid breakout and the tinted area shall be the target.

Jarbo, what’s the euro doing?...Or just a plain old garden-variety short squeeze….
digesting...
bears would've liked to have the digesting going on around 1.2850 instead of a hundred pips higher...but they have a hundred pips to spare to 1.3150 or so before the bulls could realistically say there might be some kind of bottom put in. there's some chatter about portfolio repositioning into the end of the year with funds selling overhedged positions in the EUR (aka buying back EUR), but on the longer term chart, the EUR still looks rather weak. next stop 1.2650 seems pretty guaranteed barring major fundamentals shifts.
sentiment remains extremely EUR bearish.
Thanks jar
Do you have any take on EUR bear vs eurozone stocks ETFs bullish?
I know, I gotta do my own homework on that one…..

Silver seem to be doing better than Gold today, just dad cat bounce, out of long position, thinking about going short again.
Chart looks terrible.
Just another opinion!

Corba, If today is the valid breakout, do you still expect tmr will be down day? Or at least tmr will be a HH

statistically, tomorrow should be red.

the breakout today is for intraday pattern only. valid only on 5 min chart.

How to tell if it's intraday pattern or tomorrow has HH?

No. a pattern only valid if indeed breakout as it supposed to be, otherwise it's just an imaginary pattern, not the real one! 8-)
