DBV is the only one that doesn't give green light to buy here, every thing else on my internals are givng a go.
My comments are for entertainment/educational purpose only. NOT a trade advice.

never sure what these mean? care to elaborate a little?
Hi stu
Not sure if that Q was for me
Here’s 1 min
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=SPY&p= ... listNum=15
I’m trying to blab less and let indicators speak for themselves, but my red/bear and green/bull arrows and lines are just my interpretation of the internals (pinks are maybe).
Happy to answer any specific Q if I can.

Stu: when u say “never sure what these mean?” that’s the perfect reaction on days when everything is indicating up and down wacky.
Three important things I try to keep in mind:
1) data is reality
2) IMHO is kool-aid
3) Price rules
And number four would be Cobra’s “Never underestimate the power of the bulls“ (which to me is a euphemism for “bears-covering-their-shorts”)

we don't post enough charts to support bear case here? I think we mentioned a very balance point here no? you want to add some TA so we can learn from one another? this board is not about being bull or bear. for new position I would say 50/50 at this juncture IMO
Good point BullBear!
For most of us who, unfortunately, don’t have a Ph.D. in Finance, here are 2 opportunistic charts on FXI and FXP.
If you think that China has a good chance of recovering (…at least for a swing-trade) the conclusion should be : do not buy FXI, but short FXP.
I hope the game of price drop versus gain shows that clearly…

But is China starting at least a short term recovery, engineered under the guidance of the CCP?
Could someone, who knows more about China thab I do, help me?
What sectors takes the lead last night in Chinese stock market? Coal and nonferrous metal. Are they capable of leading a round of nice uptrend? I don't think so.

Shanghai, Hong Kong and Seoul are high beta markets, dropping more than developed markets in bear market as usual. And when Europe collapsed, liquidity comes back to US, not to emerging markets. A type of 97 Asian Financial Crisis could happen again.

Besides, Chinese stocks are not cheap as a whole among BRIC countries. Russia is around 4-5 P/E; Brazil is around 7-8; China exceeds 11-12. So the true bottom of Chinese market is still not coming.

I recently made a trip to China and the tune there is not encouraging. In 2008 Lehman time, everyone in China believed we are different and immune to this crisis. All the restaurants were so crowding that they don't even accept reservation. But now? Everyone is talking about how much housing price could drop in 2012, bosses are talking about how much exporting orders could disappear in 2012? My buddy at government told me they have to change the CPI basket every month to manually adjust down the inflation numbers! So could they use QE like US? I don't think so.

Finally, China is full of insider trading. If the CCP could really stimulate the stock market, stock market should go north several days before the CCP financial meeting. Now it seems even the insider doesn't buy the idea of "a meeting could save a market", why should you?

The bottom-line is: the Chinese economy car is decelerating, unless we see it stops first, we shouldn't buy into it.

Fib fans aren’t data but they’re pretty good anyway.
Pull out to 30 min and see the fans and other internals (except VIX) saying we’re just hanging on here for dear life....WHILE SPY MAKES AN INTRADAY HIGH...

I won't short. Short might work on very short-term I think.
