well, guess that's it for today, not a strong close, but chances are today's high may be revisited tomorrow. The little bigger picture, since this is the 2nd test on the previous high, so no failure allowed for bulls there. thank you guys, I'll see you tomorrow.

One more little piece of evidence for the 'high' being this week the 15th or 16th instead of last weeks 1352.50 on the es.... :o

I'm going to whack this like a red-haired step child (I have no idea what that means :) ) if this starts down.

Thanks

Here’s my vxx, she’s pretty clear (to me only) on “wait"
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=VXX&p= ... =243526920

and my short sheet says I can’t act on anything short… yet... (sheep....you go first okay?)

Al_Dente - Mind if I ask what your trigger is on the VXX chart to go long? Looks like its a strong move up out the the BB after a basing period. Not sure if I understand the exit trigger either, or is that one a bit trickier and one just has to take some profits after any large upside move. I'm trying to get my arms around VXX and TVIX before it bites me in the a$$. Thanks.

Bolinger crimp on an STO
Basing (or topping) isn’t enuf, I need a good bb crimp to get a decent (early) signal
Then the STO has to move sharply off the crimp for me to act (I’m usually late)
(sometimes I don’t get either of the above)
I change settings all the time, so my settings wont help u
Also sometimes helpful for me is standard deviation (brown below sto) for a “mean reversion” type signal, but “std dev” likes to fool me sometimes/a lot

It's counter intuitive, but I think you're right.
