oh...i guess it's now at 7.01...so we still have 41 cents to shed.

Whoa that is so broken. Can anyone really trust it's "true" value after the beating and sketchy happenings surrounding it? Pure gambling IMHO.

no idea. I never figured out VIX and its futures relationships, so I assume they're totally different things. and VIX doesn't work nowadays anyway.

2 small legged pullback already but not much damage, so I think it's still possible we see a rebound to close.

I am seeing a BEARISH DOWNSIDE TASUKI GAP on OIH, XLE, DIG, and other energy-related assets.
So I am dumping the rest of my energy holdings at the close.

I also bought some out of the money puts on PCLN.

VIX products may be getting dumped because of the issues surrounding TVIX, people are getting nervous in holding too much risk, so they could be dumping. If we continue to have small moves in the mkt (10-15 spx pts) then volatility is not there, and these products may continue to go down. The best trades this year were probably shorting VIX products. I personally will be staying away until June/July and then assess at that time whether the instruments have any merit...

the problem is most likely your broker won't allow you to short TVIX as it's almost free money. I did try but no luck, it's not allowed.

Thanks a lot for you sharing your thought on VIX products. It makes sense to me.
I used to think maybe people expect no big drop or large up and down in the coming days, so they dump vix. It quite lines up with what you say.
