A crude attempt at counting the moves on the way down. Current stats from Convergent Trading is that an impulse is at leat 12 plus points, so this qualifies.

As Pasta Boss showed us the options market makers will switch to a waterfall melt up somewhere around 4800. Well I am waiting to see if bank earnings on Friday are the starting gun. Would think if that happens market needs some back and forth to fill in the weak parts of the base, just like today so far.

For December the CPI rose 0.5%.
From a year ago the CPI is up 7.0%, the most since Jimmy Carter, 1982.

No Fear, VVIX picking up some volatility, need to see higher $VIX if wave C is at hand (or whatever down wave to play out) If so, we are looking at 200 points down 4480. I know, entertainment only.

The Caution Zone (yellow shaded area) is where SPY starts dicking around above and below her MA (lime) and her VWAP (red)
See how clean the bulls were from circa Dec 21 to Dec 30 when they stayed above VWAP and the MA (see the big diagonal purple box)
They're getting a bit dirty today, easily cured by a BIG UP .... too early to give them a yellow-caution zone but I did anyway.
Maybe they are just backtesting the current bull leg, which they need to do .....
But rest assured, If the bulls can't get it done, the bears will.
