cnbc said fb just set new US market record for first day of trading. last record holder was gm. i assume it is the new gm
The goal is not uniformity. It is understanding and idea exchange.

I don't believe we will crash right here, but there are some similarities to 1987....

This is PATHETIC if true:
(Short version: The PTB tried to stick-save the close for risk-assets by HFT-manipulating the EUR/USD. A "correlation trick". This attempt is so obvious and blatant. "They" don't even try to hide it anymore. Result: Epic Fail as the $SPX barely budged. Even corporate bonds got sold off at the end. But hey, I guess it could have been worse. "They" don't like paying out all those put option winnings on Monday morning.)

I pray that does not happen. They lied like hell in saying our banking system could weather a great depression collapse.

I just read the WSJ article about the FACEBOOK ipo launch faceplant.
Not ONE mention of HFT. My blood is boiling.
