Here’s the problem I see in the last half hour (last 5 minutes into the close).
Bears will cover to book profits so not to risk a weekend hold as even they they are scared shiteless here.
Bears will hold their shorts as they are fearless mofos who think life as we know it will end this weekend.
Plus bears know that this kind of radical down near -300 points is rarely a “one-off” one day affair.
But even bears believe in dead cats...
What are u bears doing; please report in. Dollars and details are not requested.
Thank u from the bottom of my channel.

One would think that Spain (EWP) would be blasted today, but it isn't that red.

I'd cover shorts, but I wouldn't buy big. Asia still needs to react to our lousy jobs number.

I think it's easy to say that production of bricks went way up today (as in lots of people crapping their pants).

Does that count as industrial production?

Senor Al,

Booked profits on half of the shorts. Riding out some GDX over the weekend with the other half of the short position still in tact. Dead cat could be coming on Monday. These guys have all weekend to conjure up a new stimulus to soothe the market. I have never timed a bottom or the top so I have to be comfortable knowing that some profits will be lost.

more to the point what happens when nothing happens over the weekend? which is the harder trade right now? holding short--or buying the inevitable liquidity (same idea with covering). today we got some fear but you keep hearing the same thing "they will print money" the concern is not that they won't--but that this idea that it will happen could be placing a bid under things which if we could just lose really decently would set up a stronger move up.

for what it is worth--next week is bad math for the 10 day ma of the nyse ad line which more or less works like nymo on stock charts. usually you get flat to weak during these periods. this stuff is highly speculative and just something that works more often than not--not the truth etched in stone.

have a good weekend all

Stockcharts.com showed daily SPY $131.50.I think it is a firm P-bar.

Master Cobra , do you think this is a kind of P-bar ? Thanks.
