I think we're bottoming out based on the spike on the VIX. Break of 1250 and we're looking at 1225. For now a counter trend rally is in the cards. Bought SPY April calls.

News: unrest in east Saudi arabia and police start shooting ( reminder, most of Saudi oil fields are in east ). this gulf story is in the begining in my view were the tension in Yamen, Bahrain, Oman, and SA ... the situation is still unfolding (sorry for my weak english, it is not my mother language)

same feeling, watch for the last push up. Cobra 3 pushes, and only came right back and settle at around 200ma (1m) at the close.

Agree...and I see SPX 1150 is coming in Apr/May timeframe IMO.

We should get some consolidation here towards the end of the day.

usually a good bottom is wave up, a few 5 min bar up then a few down and then a few 5 min bar, like some buying program are running in orderly fashion. But now all we see are sudden spike up, that's not enough time for program to run accumulation and that's why I suspect that today's low will be revisited. Just a thought as you know I don't trade based on such kind of speculation.
