well, guess that's it for today. I need dig a little before calling the next week. assume a strong day like this normally won't be just one day event, so we might see more up thereafter. Monday could be just a small range day though as it's a common pattern after a big range day. thank you guys, I'll see you the next Monday. My fellow Canadians, enjoy your long weekend!

Since we finished at the highs, there's a risk of a gap down. No significant last buys or sells. Have a good weekend everyone!

Note the hits in the first second every 5 minutes at the end.

What we are seeing is a worldwide phenomena in governments taking every opportunity to keep the mkts up. If they see a short position amass, they play by getting the ball rolling. The evidence of that shows in the patterns as they are rarely clean. They are brute force patterns to stop it and turn it. Of course they play with shorts like a cat plays with a dazed mouse, but it's not their money. It is, however, their power. And they will not yield it via the market place:

I just wanted to point something out to those who might be new to trading. This mkt has nothing to do with stock value. This is a bookkeeping mkt due to the lack of players and a group of players with unlimited money.

IOW, it sees what is on the books and wipes those positions clean. The menace is that they help build them. If there are more stops above they will get them now. If that's it and they are long, we will decline. They get to see all the orders and positions and we don't. Our job is to find little edges and not trade that often until they appear. It's not what you would think of the central US market for companies to bring themselves to market, but accept what it is or spend your energies elsewhere. This HFT manipulation has no oversight and is not going to lessen any time soon.

My satisfaction always came from beating the market, solving the puzzle. The money was the reward, but it was not the main reason I loved the market (Jess Livermore)
