Didn’t you get the memo?
After the election clarifies (cough) the market, you may have to switch to Koala
Here's the BPNYA chart I wanted to show you guys...uempel wrote:Al, I'll post a chart later on (we are going to the movies...), but BPNYA doesn't look good...Al_Dente wrote:PAGING UEMPEL (King of the Bullish Percent)

Al, if we contemplate what BPNYA actually is: the statement makes sense. The moves of BPNYA are a momentum indicator for the entire market. And if the momentum of the entire market is in a downtrend we've got to bury our bullish dreams, at least temporarilyAl_Dente wrote:PAGING UEMPEL (King of the Bullish Percent)

Hi AL,
…I haven't posted any VIXies update this week as I am without power, phone, and internet since Monday night (due to Hurricane Sandy). Other than this nuisance storm didn't inflict any other damage to me personally but many houses in the town were severely damaged by the falling trees.
I am sending this note from my local library which managed to gain power and is able to offer limited internet (15 min per person)
Hope to be back once my utlities are restored.
Thanks…
Harapa

Al, NDX might be skewed because aapl has too much weight, but BPNDX is not skewed and the charts show us how important Friday's close at 59 is. Check out the chart showing the 2000 scenario and compare it with 2012...Al_Dente wrote:Thanx uempuempel wrote:Al, if we contemplate what BPNYA actually is the' statement makes sense. The moves of BPNYA are a momentum indicator for the entire market. my only problem with BPNYA is that the NYSE data contains nothing otc, so it misses aapl, amzn, goog, bidu etc
if it included nasdaq it would look even more bearish…….
so I always have to keep an eye on BPCOMPQ and BPNDX etc
