Q & A? How about "I hope you are right!" as I own XHB in my retirement account. Look at a weekly chart as it looks like it wants to make new multi-year highs.
XHB looks like it has a flag.
I see a flag as just a holding pattern, as it decides what it wants to do, drop or continue to rise.
IYR anyone? Swing first sell countertrend, intraday first sell the rip, let see how it goes from here. a little aggressive I know.

As a gift, let me share the following wisdom, which was posted somewhere on the web some weeks ago by someone I can't remember but to whom credit is due.
Enjoy.

Excellent post. See comments below. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

11 Things They Didn’t Tell Me About Being a Trader

1. Filling in your day with non-trading activities so that you don’t tinker with your plan is harder than you’d think.

I do projects now - like tinker with my old truck

2. Finding other traders who understand where you’re at is critical to your success.

Two old and dear friends have the trading bug...I'm no longer a lone wolf and makes a world of difference

3. Handling the profits is just as hard as handling the losses.

Who would have thought the profits might actually be harder...

4. Over time you begin to become unemployable. Eventually you won’t want any other job.

Ok, I am now a bum but I love what I do :)

5. Trading with your back to the wall out of desperation doesn’t work.

Gratefully not there today

6. Trading Plan + Time + Support = Trading Success

Support from other professionals is priceless IMHO

7. Sometimes non-traders will irritate the beegeebeez out of you because they’ll think you’re a gambler, unemployed, irresponsible or a stuck up mole with too much money. Luckily, you and I know that trading is a noble profession where we live by our wits and get paid in direct proportion to our levels of discipline.

One of my friends called me a gambler recently and I almost slapped him

8. Your relatives won’t respect or understand what you do, but when there’s a crisis that money can fix – you’ll be the first person they run to.

I'm just lucky on this one. Still amazed they let me be continue to be a member of this family.

9. You’ll need to find a deeper meaning in your life than just earning money.

Love your neighbor.

10. The extra face to face time you spend with your family and the people you CHOOSE to be with is the most incredible gift trading can provide.

It's becoming clear how precious this gift is.

11. The choices that this way of life opens up simply can’t be understood by the outside world.

This one is still sinking in. Hard to wrap my small mind around sometimes

Do you get the same inference if you did your same channel for the SPY ?

IYR is underbought relative to IWM, which is underbought relative to SPY. I personally wouldn't short it.

If any doom & gloomer wants to short anything, the best candidate I can see is the airlines (FAA).
Three years ago, no one wanted the airlines, especially Jim Kramer.
FAA is very overbought relative to USO, which is very underbought relative to SPY.

I'm not recommending you short FAA, but if you're eager to short something, you should do your due diligence before doing so.

I am seeing a negative McClellan Oscillator today (let's see where it closes) for the first time in awhile along with a pretty clear declining tops line in the MO since the end of November.

With the light holiday trade, the reading may be suspect, but the bulls have some work to do or I'll be getting a sell signal soon.
