CHK had the bad wrap of bidding up prices for leases everywhere they went.
Nah. I was more of an office / courthouse guy. I ran the records and compiled the paperwork but when I was in Shreveport, LA, the most that I ever saw for lease bonuses was $20,000 per net acre.
